Rather than make lofty claims about what we can do, PDQ thought it important to point out what we don’t do, which is really what sets us apart from so many other background screening companies.
1. County Criminal Searches
PDQ does not use spyware, harvesting programs, or any other type of automated software in the reporting of county criminal record information. We do not approve of these measures, especially when the information is accessed from online sources with clear disclaimers stating that the information contained therein does not represent the court record. PDQ believes companies that report unverified and often summarized information, lacking the appropriate identifiers, should disclose doing so to their customers in the service agreement.
2. Proprietary Criminal Databases
Simply put, PDQ does not sell Proprietary Criminal Databases without accompanying county criminal verifications.
3. What’s in a Report?
We often hear the discouraging words, “I’m not getting that” when speaking with potential clients about their county criminal reports. PDQ has been retrieving documents from the courts in our state since 1997. We know what you need, and it is in every report that we compile. All of our employees that handle criminal reports have been trained on how to conduct research at our county courthouses. This training serves them well in communicating with, not only our clients, but also with our nationwide researcher network.
4. Customer Service. Really?
What ever happened to it? PDQ doesn’t force our clients to do things that they don’t want to do. We don’t require our clients to order packages that they don’t need or want. We don’t penalize our customers for making data entry errors when utilizing our web-order system. That’s because our proprietary process catches over 90% of errors before they go out for research. We don’t charge setup fees; we don’t charge for training; and there is no limit to our support. When was the last time you received an email or phone call asking you to re-check the spelling on a name you just submitted before we charge you?
