PDQ Legal Services was established in 1997 and is a founding member of NAPBS (National Association of Professional Background Screeners). PDQ has been at the forefront of the background screening industry and has led the way from the days when background checks were a luxury that most businesses did not find necessary to the screening and investigational demands of today’s complex world.
PDQ Legal Services’ Corporate Leadership is comprised of people who truly believe in the ideals and standards that were engrained into them during their previous careers in law.
Evan Kesselman
CEO
Mr. Kesselman serves as PDQ’s CEO.
Mr. Kesselman is a former detective from the New Jersey State Police. He finished his law enforcement career working in the Computer Crimes and High Tech Surveillance Bureau within the Special Investigations Section of the New Jersey State Police. He brings a level of experience and expertise to PDQ Legal Services that is rarely found among his peers in the background screening industry.
Mr. Kesselman has an outstanding background to administer the custom-built web application ordering system that PDQ uses. He is also well acquainted with how the U.S. Criminal Court Systems operate and how to obtain the most accurate information from them as quickly as possible. His experience with complex and high profile investigations has proven to be an asset to PDQ’s client base.
Mr. Kesselman holds a B.A. in Criminal Justice from LaSalle University.
Lori Winkler Kesselman, J.D.
CFO/Compliance
Ms. Kesselman serves as PDQ’s CFO and also oversees PDQ’s legal compliance program, ensuring that all screening is in compliance with FTC (Federal Trade Commission) and FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act) guidelines.
For 10 years, Ms. Kesselman worked as an Attorney for Jacobs, Schwalbe & Petruzzelli, P.C., one of the most well-known and well-respected law firms in New Jersey. She concentrated her practice in Labor Law, Workers’ Compensation, and Social Security Disability, appearing in court several times per week. She was a vigorous advocate for her clients while maintaining a friendly yet professional demeanor with adversaries and judges.
Ms. Kesselman was admitted to practice law before the Bars of the State of New Jersey, State of Pennsylvania, United States District Court, and Third Circuit Court of Appeals. She is well acquainted with how the U.S. Civil and Administrative Court Systems operate and how to obtain the most accurate information from them as quickly as possible.
Ms. Kesselman received her undergraduate degree from Temple University, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and her law degree from Temple University—James E. Beasley School of Law.
As a result of the principals’ law enforcement and legal experience, as well as PDQ’s background as courthouse researchers, PDQ is uniquely qualified to accurately interpret all aspects of the data provided to customers. This allows our customers to make speedy employment desicions with confidence. This vast experience in gathering information and dealing with the court system has enabled PDQ to become one of the most efficient and effective screening firms in the country.
